The state flower of Oregon has gnarly stems and sharp, prickly leaves, but the pretty blue berries are edible. The plant bears dainty yellow flowers in early summer and a dark blue berry that ripens in the fall.

Wow! This is absolutely gorgeous. So controlled, and so vibrant. Perfectly executed ^^
Beautifully done!
Lovely use of watercolour!
Seeing your painting makes me want to plan another trip to beautiful Oregon, so full of lush produce. We watched The Shining again the other night, partially so I could see the shots of Timberline Lodge, with Mt. Hood looming over it. I hope you are enjoying the end of summer.
How lovely and fitting for a state I have now fallen in Love with!
